The wedding of Candice and Sam Merchant…where do I even begin with this one? I am obsessed with looking at these insanely gorgeous photos from Mary Beth Tyson because it brings me back to this most perfect evening. This event was a wedding planner’s dream. This hilarious, adorable couple shares a love — for each other, for their families and for their friends — that was seen, heard and felt within every detail and all aspects of this event. The bride and groom were open to, and exited about, thinking outside the box and planning a wedding that was uniquely them. Everything from the dress (I mean…dayum girl!); to the décor (hello, floral card wall); to the vendors they flew in from across the US to get exactly the “look and feel” they wanted, SCREAMED fun, carefree and one-of-a-kind…all things Can & Sam.

And while we’re at it, I have to take a moment to recognize these “best of the best” vendors who made this event everything it was. It’s getting to work with people like this that make me love what I do even more than I thought possible. I’ve got nothing but crazy amounts of love for these ridiculously talented vendors; actually “friendors” is more like it.

The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami proved to be the only choice for this wedding. I am still trying to process how a hotel of this size, and with that many employees, could provide service with such flawless consistency and perfection. Every square inch of this wedding was covered, cared for, and tended to. They valued, honored and praised our timelines without hesitation. This is a certainly a flagship hotel for a reason.

Always Flowers & Events – It wasn’t just the guests, but also the staff, that said they’ve never seen a wedding “this cool” before. They got the vision right away, and brought it to life with ease, as they always do.

Mary Beth Tyson – Her energy was the perfect addition to our crowd. And the pictures perfectly capture this beautiful couple and stand-out event, and are just as gorgeous as expected.

Shark Pig Weddings – Shark Pig and Rainbeau Tharp are one of my obsessions. I am a huge fan – always have been, and always will be. And I will love Can & Sam forever because they were the ones to say “yes” and finally bring us together.

Tatjana Terzic – The consummate professional. I will never do another wedding without having her stay with me all day. She poured her love into our bride, and it showed.

Rock With U Entertainment – another killer wedding with Lorena Rodriguez, Dean Michaels, Ross Bielejeski. There’s never a doubt or a moment of hesitation on my part, and there’s never anything less than a packed dance floor when we have you at the forefront. You are masters!

The South Beach Photo Booth Company is becoming an absolute event requirement…almost as necessary as an open bar! They make everyone happy.

Rainbow Circus Miami – Their LED butterfly contortionists were exactly what this crowd needed. Because really, who doesn’t need that?!?!

Lori Shapiro is a doll! She gave us the most beautiful ceremony with her words and her details because of her beautiful connection to the couple.

Sculptured Ice Occasions was the cherry on top! We almost had to shut it down because things were getting so crazy with the ice luge!

There is no better feeling than helping make someone’s dreams come true. Oh wait, yes there is! It’s the fact that I can now call Can and Sam my forever buddies.
